Subject: Localization and mapping in mobile robot systems
One of the most important problem of mobile robotics is obtaining data about robots poses and surroundings. In case of multi-robot systems the additional difficulty are data exchange between robots and integration of collected measurements into a consistent representation. The presentation will concern the current status of localization methods, environment representation and mapping approaches with emphasis on probabilistic methods.
