Subject: Problems of hand bioprosthesis control

Control of bioprosthetic hand is not a single well defined problem, but rather a collection of a variety of problems. In this talk we discuss the problems associated to the synthesis of the bioprosthetic hand control system resulting from:
• the specifics of the human intention detection (human-prosthesis interface),
• properties of the prosthesis kinematics (and dynamic),
• its interaction with the captured objects, and
• the need ant the way to measure this interaction, and
• use this information to control the grip (feedback), and
• to simulate a human basic sensory sensations of touch, pressure and slip.
Some authors achievements in the field of biosignals acquisition and representing those signals features extraction are presented.
